DDPI accredited DDP Level Two four day in-person training for professionals who have successfully completed Level One.
Lunch and course materials included.

DDP (Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy) was developed by Dan Hughes as an Attachment Focused Family Therapy that is tailored to meet the needs of children who have experienced relational and developmental trauma and loss. This therapy is theoretically based on the models of attachment theory and is consistent with the needs of children and young people who have experienced developmental trauma.

Course Overview

This four day DDP level two training will follow on from the content learned in level one and explores the successes and difficulties that have been experienced since completing the initial training.

Participants will further develop their experiential skills through additional role playing and by reviewing treatment sessions.

Who is the Training for?

Those who have completed DDP level one training. Professionals who support children and young people who
have experienced developmental trauma. This includes social workers working in fostering and adoption services,
psychologists, residential workers, psychiatrists and other interested professionals.

Learning Objectives

  1. To build on the foundation knowledge and skills gained in level one
  2. Understand and explore attachment history
  3. To have the opportunity to receive feedback on practice since level one
  4. Discussion and supervision in a small group
