Vicky is a Specialist Attachment Practitioner and Clinical Psychologist based in our Caerphilly team.
Vicky began her work with children and families as a primary school teacher, where she taught across schools in South-East England and South Wales. This experience has always stayed with her as she progressed through her training and early experiences as a Clinical Psychologist.
After working in a Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, Vicky was able to deepen her understanding for working with attachment and trauma informed approaches through her work within an Adoption service, where she was Clinical Lead of the Psychology team, before joining The Family Place.
Vicky has completed Theraplay foundational level, Building Underdeveloped Sensorimotor Systems (BUSS) level 2, and is currently working towards her accreditation in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP). She provides consultation and training to schools, residential settings and social care teams across South Wales, as well as working directly with children and their families.
