Josie is a Clinical Psychologist and Certified Theraplay® Practitioner working with The Family Place. She is currently completing the Theraplay® supervisor’s and trainer’s practicum. In addition, Josie is working towards becoming a certified DDP Practitioner.
Her main area of interest is in working with children who may have complex difficulties in relationships rooted in their experience of developmental trauma and supporting them to deepen their attachment bonds.
Her clinical approach is to work with families with an attachment and trauma-informed approach, centrally involving adoptive parents and foster carers through dyadic sessions with the child.
