Eve has worked in different parts of CAMHS for the past 15 years and she now works for Swansea Local Authority.
Her experience includes drug and alcohol services for young people, youth offending teams, residential care and inpatient CAMHS. During this time Eve completed an MSc in Paediatric Neuropsychology with a focus on brain development and attachment. She moved to work within the local authority as she is passionate about supporting children and their families’ who have experienced difficulties in their lives, and the role she has brings together a lot of her previous experience and interests.
Eve was born and raised in Swansea so always wanted to return to work within the local communities. She has completed training in DDP and Theraplay and feels inspired by how these models and The Family Place finally bring together all of her previous thinking and support engagement with children and their families’ to enhance their relationships.
Eve is hoping to work towards accreditation in DDP. She also works as part of The Family Place TESSA project in partnership with Adoption UK, seeing adoptive families in South Wales. Working with families and hearing their stories feels like such an ongoing privilege.
Much of Eve’s spare time is spent with her family, enjoying local beaches, nature and playing hockey!
