Diljit is a qualified Social Worker and Specialist Attachment Practitioner. Diljit has over 15 years experience working with vulnerable children and families who have experienced multiple adversities and trauma. As a registered Social Worker, Diljit has worked within Local Authorities, the Voluntary Sector: NSPCC and NHS: CAMHS Service for Looked After Children/Young People.
Diljit has a keen interest in working with children who are care experienced and their supporting networks, understanding the significance for those supporting children to understand a child through a lens of developmental trauma.
Diljit strives to work with families using therapeutic approaches which enhance children’s attachments with their primary caregivers, namely Theraplay and DDP. Diljit is Level 1 and 2 Theraplay trained and working through her Theraplay Practicum. Diljit has also completed Level 1 DDP training.
