Becky is a Specialist Attachment Practitioner at The Family Place. She is a qualified social worker and has over fifteen years’ experience working in child protection and adoption, both within children’s services and in the charity sector.
She has a wealth of experience supporting families to parent children impacted by developmental trauma and attachment difficulties. Her knowledge has been shaped by the latest theoretical perspectives and research but also by all the valuable insight and experience she has gained through working directly with children and families during her social work career.
Becky discovered the power of Theraplay and DDP when working on a project supporting children to transition from foster care to adoption and made the decision to change her career path to specialise in offering therapeutic support to families. She feels passionately about supporting the whole family and strengthening connection and relationships through play.
Becky has completed Theraplay Level 1 and 2 and DDP Level 1 and hopes to work towards accreditation in both Theraplay and DDP in the future.
