Becky Couch is a Consultant Therapeutic Social Worker based in Cardiff.
With over twenty years of experience in child protection and adoption across both Local Authority and charitable sectors, Becky brings both depth of knowledge and genuine compassion to her work. She understands the lasting impact of developmental trauma and is deeply committed to helping children and families feel safer, more connected, and better understood.
Since joining The Family Place in 2020, Becky has focused on providing direct, relational therapeutic support. She feels privileged to spend time alongside families – listening, reflecting, and working together to make sense of experiences. Becky values creating spaces where children and parents can strengthen their relationships, build trust, and begin to thrive.
Becky is passionate about continuing to learn and develop her practice so that families receive the most thoughtful and effective support possible. She is a Practitioner in Training with the DDP Network, an Intermediate Theraplay Practitioner working towards full accreditation, and a BUSS Informed Practitioner completing her practicum.
