The Family Place recently delivered our first residential course for professionals ‘Exploring Therapeutic Work in Nature’ led by Erica Lyons, Dr Nic Jones and Dr Viv Norris. The course took place over two days in a beautiful woodland setting near Brecon, with camping and glamping overnight, plus an online element.
At The Family Place we value the power of nature to aid therapeutic work. We were excited to bring these elements together to provide this unique course, developed by highly trained clinicians and forest school leaders, aimed at professionals working with children and/or adults who have experienced trauma. The course proved to be popular and feedback was very positive.
