We held another very successful ‘Exploring Therapeutic Work in Nature’ residential course in September. We were a small group of diverse professional backgrounds and spent our time sitting and watching, walking, building, cooking, talking and absorbing nature in the woods at beautiful Woodland Park near Brecon.

The positive mental health impacts of being and working in nature are undeniable and it is wonderful to explore how we can bring more into our everyday roles. We experienced a mix of Autumnal weather – there is something magical about sitting out in the rain!

Here is some feedback from this years participants and pictures of some moments we spent in the woods:

‘It’s hard to describe this woodland experience – I was surprised how moving I found it’

‘Thank you so much for the opportunity to reflect on the benefits of nature upon all aspects of health and wellbeing. Something that you said resonated with me, well, it was your ethos of the day really. You referred to the importance of experiencing and feeling, rather than constantly referencing research and theory’
