Managing Withdrawal Workshop for Parents: Adoptive, Foster Carers, SGO and Kinship

5 November 2026, 10:00am - 12:00pm

Workshop Overview

This online workshop offers a thoughtful space for parents and carers to explore the many ways children and young people may withdraw emotionally, socially, or behaviourally. We’ll look at what withdrawal can signal, why it happens, and the real challenges it creates for families.

Together, we’ll consider practical approaches to gently re-engage children, strengthen connection, and support them at their pace. The session also includes time for reflection so you can think about your own experiences and what might help in your home.

Who is this workshop for?

Open to adopters, foster carers, SGO and kinship carers
