Becky is a sessional Play Therapist and Attachment Practitioner at The Family Place. She
completed an MSc in Play Therapy at the University of South Wales and is registered with
the British Association of Play Therapists (BAPT).

Becky has worked with children and families for over 20 years in many different roles
including in the early years sector, with children at risk of criminal exploitation and in
delivering family-focussed support in the charitable sector. Her experiences in these roles
have created a passion for working therapeutically with children and families, especially
through the medium of play. She believes strongly in the importance of putting the interests
of families and children at the centre of any work she is involved in.

Becky has completed Level 1 in Theraplay®, DDP and Animal Assisted Play Therapy and
plans to continue towards accreditation in these areas in the next two years.

As an experienced coach with Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), Becky works
therapeutically with horses to support children and young peoples’ wellbeing. She is highly
enthusiastic about the positive benefits of spending time outdoors with animals for her own
well-being and loves sharing these experiences with others.
